Helix IPTV review: OMG! The Best  IPTV Ever

Helix IPTV review

Helix IPTV is a relatively new addition to our list of the best IPTV services, replacing a provider that recently closed. When looking for a viable replacement, I came across a lot of recommendations for Helix, so I had to check it out!

Having tested Helix for some time, I have to say that this is a serious contender for the top spot. Helix can easily replace some of the greats that have since been shut down, including ACE TV, Insight IPTV, and Vaders.

What’s so special about Helix? It’s hard to pinpoint one feature or aspect of your service that sets you apart. It’s the lack of actual faults that makes this an excellent cable replacement. Helix offers a truly professional service at a fair price with all the expected comforts.

For starters, Helix provides one of the most professional online portal and dashboards that features instant account activation. This may seem like a minor thing, but when you order your IPTV service, you really don’t want to wait 24 hours to get your account details. You want to broadcast immediately!

However, there is a minor flaw. By default, Helix does not offer Paypal as a payment option. However, you can try to open a ticket to see if PayPal can arrange it for you.

In terms of streaming packages, Helix offers multiple options to suit any budget and entertainment requirement. More importantly, you can also use a 48h trial for just € 1 to help you decide if Helix is the right service for you.

Below are the packages with their respective monthly prices per month. Of course, if you decide to commit to a longer subscription, the cost will decrease.

  • UK Helix: Includes PPV and 3PM (without VoD) – EUR 7.00
  • US / CA Helix: Includes regional channels Fox and NBC Sports (subject to availability), local regional channels (subject to availability), PPV and 3PM (without VoD) – EUR 7.00
  • Single Helix: UK, US, Canada and VoD – EUR 9.50
  • Double Helix: UK, US, Canada, VoD and international channels – EUR 10.50
  • Triple Helix: UK, US, Canada, VoD, International Channels and Adult Channels – EUR 11.50

Please note that Helix has recently removed its VoD section and may no longer provide any movies and series on demand.

As you can see, there is a package that should fit most viewing habits. Most of the channels anyone would search for are available, including many sports, movies, news, entertainment, and PPV. There is also a very impressive line of international channels with broadcasts from more than 50 countries. Helix also has one of the largest lists of adult channels that I have ever seen on an IPTV service, with over 80 adult channels and another dozen 24/7 adult streams.

Covering so many countries and channels has a downside. There are almost too many categories with channels that I would never watch. This can make it difficult to navigate to the shows I really want to watch. After all, there are over 6500 channels in over 100 channel groups!

What is very impressive is the quality of the EPG. Despite the large number of channels, EPG coverage is still on par with most other IPTV services and allows you to easily find suitable shows and movies.

In my experience, the streams are very stable and many channels are available in HD quality and 60fps. Overall I had very few issues and Helix has been very nice.

To use Helix, you can use the Stalker middleware-compatible set-top box, an Android box to stream directly using your custom APK, or using one of the many IPTV apps to access channels through your m3u. A really nice addition is the built-in URL shortener to make the m3u url shorter and easier to enter in an Android box using a remote control.

Last but not least, I was impressed by your support that responded quickly to my requests. There is also a knowledge base that presents setup guides for most hardware and software.

Is Helix hosting safe?

Helix because of the big amount of channels with catch-up and TVZON because the catch-up is very reliable and it goes all the way back to 7 days. All in all, Helix is just okay as a secondary service mainly because of the catch-up. It is not reliable at all, even though it’s not the cheapest.
Is Helix IPTV legal?

Watching an IPTV service (a legal one or illegal one) is not illegal in the US. Rebroadcasting copyright restricted content is though. If you where to download and redistribute content you have acquired from an illegal source, such as IPTV (but not limited to), and shared it, then that is illegal.
